Aurus has invented methods and systems to process payments at a retail location by significantly removing POS infrastructure from PCI scope. A consumer may present payment through a card, phone tap, and digital wallet at the credit card terminal which is securely transmitted to a remote Aurus authorization service for authorization. Through this method, the credit card terminal and sensitive payment information is securely isolated from the POS and remaining infrastructure at the retail location.
Aurus has invented a secure method for payment initiated by a mobile device at retail locations. A mobile device of a user may be detected, and location determined based at least in part on the strength of a signal via a wireless antenna at the retail location. The mobile device is associated with the user based on payment history. Location-specific Incentives may be shared with the device. A user may complete a payment transaction at the retail location without providing the secure payment information at the retail location.
